This was actually taken on July 31st. It was still on my camera so here it is. It is pretty clear that Abs inherited the McDonald morning hair trait. And BTW, cereal is nowhere near as soothing for her in the morning as a waffle with syrup is.

It’s 9am and we’re ready to pile in. We had one more couple to pick up before the trip officially began. The Hummer was supposed to fit 22 people but we only booked 16. I don’t know what size person they used to determine a capacity of 22 but I can’t imagine they were adults. [...]

The Firestone family owns most of the land you can see in this photo. It is beautiful in this valley. I wish I was a better photographer, my pix don’t do it justice.

I left the tasting room early and snapped a couple of pictures. When they get to the red wines I tend to boogie on out of there because I just don’t like that stuff – I do not like it Sam I Am.

Garret provided the tour of Firestone, the first winery we vivisted in Santa Ynez. He is from Hawaii and he did a killer job. Firestone has more than 4000 barrels of wine in that room. You would think they could just give us one… no dice.

Alex nearly made me pee my pants with some of the jokes he told and dramatic recounts of coming home from work tired, trying to live up to his husbandly duties. Pretty darn funny. These two are from Bakersfield, friends of Darin and Alison, and now the rest of us too.
