View Article  Busy Day Tomorrow
We've got a big family get together at my Dad's sister's place (Aunt Mary). All of my sibblings (except for Molly who is in Boston) and their families will be there as well as a bunch of cousins, aunts, etc. It's time to play, "I have the cutest child".

Tomorrow night we may make it to the annual neighborhood Progressive Dinner. This is an event where about 8 couples on our street share responsibility for feeding the group, and at several houses. Appetizers at Brian's place, dinner at Tim's and dessert at Darin's. Next year we're going to have to be hosts... time to get busy on the kitchen.
View Article  Almost Forgot - New Blogware Feature As Of Friday
We added a search mechanism on Friday without telling anybody... sorry bout that. It is a new component in your "Look and Feel" section... give it a whirl. You can search mine but I don't have any compelling content so it may not be all that fun. No phrases just yet but category permissions are respected, blah.
View Article  Appointment In Dallas Book Review
I ordered three books authored by my grandfather on my Dad's side. I found it extremely interesting though I must admit that there is something different about reading a story written by someone you know, sorta like watching and old H.S. buddy play for a pro football team... it always seems more important and interesting.

The story tells of Hugh's accidental introduction to the notion of a second gunman by one of his friends from the CIA. Grandpa had an extensive law enforcement background with close ties to the CIA and FBI and while heading up the security detail for Goldwater's run for president he was given information that would take him on a multi-year escapade through 10 countries to find and interview the man he believes killed JFK.

The writing seems a little rough, perhaps by design or just the style, who knows.

I did a bunch of searching on the internet and found that many folks think he is a crackpot while others reference him as a source of authoritative information. Whatever the case, it is interesting for anyone who has ever wondered about the JFK murder and likes a good conspiracy theory.

UPDATE: More books from Grandpa here.
