The release date listed above has a bit of fairy tale to it. I know the year was 1971 but the month was not indicated on the movie packaging so, being that it was released in the year of my birth, I chose my own birth date for this review.
This is an excellent movie for youngsters. It represents wholesome values while showing what can happen when greed overpowers you. My little one (2 years old) watches it over and over again which indicates some level attraction to that age while not causing a parent to undo damaging hidden messages. I've like this movie since the first time I saw it as a child and will recommend it for years to come.

The only bummer is they are now making a remake of WWCF. I think that some things should be left alone. How do you improve on the perfection that is Willy Wonka?
