What’s Something Good That Happened Today?
I wrote a rather large rant on something that pissed me off today but as I was getting ready to publish it I realized (again) that I tend to write about things I’m upset about and rarely about the nice things that occur every day. With some trepidation I nuked my 20 paragraphs of whine (it took a long time to write that shit!) and decided to sit back and ponder the day.
Quickly: Abigail had her first day of kindergarten today. Mo worked from my place today and although we didn’t talk much, it was nice having her near. Kerri did the hard work of rearing our children with a smile on her face. Neighbor Matt stopped by for a few minutes to shoot the breeze. Darin and Alison came by for a visit just after dinner. Oh yeah, and Sunshine tried to eat the meter reader which wasn’t so good for him but was kinda funny for me (because I know Sunny wouldn’t actually eat him — but he sure looks like he would).
Aahhhh. This is a much nicer feeling. If Ben could stay up later I’d count to 10 more often.
PS, The rant was about Microsoft selling anti-virus services and credit bureaus selling you access to the things they tell others, whether they be lies or truths. You can probably imagine how incensed one could become.
