A New, Smarter Filthy Little Pet

You may have read about my old pet rat last month. I took care of him but just recently a little field mouse decided he’d like to come try his luck at the “there’s only room for one of us in The Garage” game. I’m surprised that more varmints haven’t taken refuge because, although my traps are dangerous they’re likely not as fear inspiring as the hawks, owls and falcons who lie in wait on the outside.

This guy is taking the game to a new level and has me a bit worried. I put out two traps, one was licked clean of food and the other is just gone. It makes me wonder if he plans on resetting it with a dollar bill artfully placed in an attempt to kill the killer. Or maybe he’s chewing the wood out from around the screws that hold my TV up above the doorway so when I pass it drops and takes me out. I’m going to have to step up my game a bit and make an example of him for the rest of the mice in the fields so they know what they’re up against. Bring it on Mickey!
