Dodger Game With Abigail and The Minton Boys

Last year I took Abigail to a baseball game and she had a blast so Kerri got me tickets this year as a Father’s Day gift. Last year’s game was quite a bit different because it was a “day game” and in the middle of July (read: very hot). Last night we saw, well, a “night game” (Dodgers vs. Pirates). As part of the 40K+ attendees I had myself and Abby with Ross and Sam from across the street. The game itself was pretty good — Not terribly exciting — But the fireworks show afterwards was incredible! There’s no doubt that I witnessed the most spectacular show of my life, especially the grande finale. Oh yeah, the Dodgers won (4 – 3), breaking a 6 game losing streak which I fully attribute to my mere presence.

Abby came home with a small pink Dodgers baseball bat with an additional one for Ben; I’ve made wiser decisions in my day. I’m thinking this will be another good yearly event with Ben being able to attend next year. Of course, I’m going to stick with the day games because getting home at 12:30 in the morning with a carload of kids when you have commitments that same day is about as brilliant an idea as buying your two kids pink wooden baseball bats.

I don’t have a ticket to scan in this year because we ordered the tix online and printed out a huge piece of paper to act as our admission credentials. Next year I’ll get the classic Dodger ticket so I can memorialize here. And because I know y’all are just *dying* to see my proof of purchase.
