Tennis Rather Than Football?!?
I generally don’t have time to watch football like I did before having kids so when a chunk of time opens up on a Sunday I usually snap it up and plop my rear on the couch for 3 hours. Today the opportunity seems to be there and what am I doing? I’m watching tennis! There’s something about Andre Agassi (being 35 and all) making it to the finals of the US Open that has a draw to it. He still has the ability to “wow” people with his hard hitting style and that intangible but oh so obvious charisma.
This match particularly interests me because he is playing 24 year old Roger Federer, a man who has beaten Agassi all of the last 7 times they’ve met and is currently ranked number one in the world.
They’re 2 sets into the match (1 set apiece) and so far I’ve been on the edge of my seat the entire time. I hope the two of them have the energy to keep up the the level of play they’ve displayed so far. I only hope my heart can take it.
