Cold Turkey on the Binky Action
Ben went to the doctor yesterday for a follow-up on his previous ear infection and it turns out he has yet another one. The doc has said in the past that it might be related to his use of a pacifier. Abigail never took a pacifier and only had one ear infection. Ben has had a ton… I’ve lost track but my guess is that he’s had 8 – 10 in his first 15 months of post-womb life.
We went cold turkey on the binky last night, fearing all along that he would be up all night crying, looking for something to jam in his mouth. But check this: He slept through the night. One night does not a pattern make but it gives me some hope that we’ll be able to rule out that item as a contributor to his ear infections without too much pain.
