Update to Christmas Notes

| December 27, 2004

I’ve put up a bunch of the Christmas pictures in the December 2004 album. A couple of notable ones below. I’ve not yet had time to give captions to the pictures. From left to right: 1. Ben powering through his illness to play with one of his new toys. 2. Go-kart and motorcycle-ish thing for [...]

Lap Dog

| December 27, 2004

Jake (the dog) sitting on Tim’s lap as we surround the fire pit.

Cop Stop

| December 27, 2004

We only see three cars here but there were two others not pictured here. In the end they let this guy go. For the life of me I don’t understand why the driver didn’t go to jail: Revoked license and no insurance — Destroying a mailbox and hammering a motorhome — Having hit a tree [...]

Barbie Plane

| December 27, 2004

Abby loved playing with this toy at her cousin Julia’s place and has been saving her money to buy one. Who woulda thunk she’d be a little angry with Santa for bringing her one for Christmas.

Ben’s First Christmas

| December 27, 2004

It didn’t take him long to figure out what to do. Of course Ben didn’t care too much about the contents of the box though he did love climbing on top of his newly opened gift.

Late Morning Romp

| December 27, 2004

Ben getting ready to take a cruise on Abby’s OCC trike.

New Ownership

| December 27, 2004

Darin lent me this fire pit for our previous New Year’s Eve party. He got it back this afternoon, nearly a year later. Note to all: Do not lend me anything (least of all money) because I’m terrible about getting things back to their owners. At least I painted the pit before bringing it back. [...]

Grandpa Santa

| December 27, 2004

Dad played Santa this year. Sure, Abby knew it wasn’t the real deal but she happily accepted the wrapped wonder.

Doggy Stocking

| December 27, 2004

Once Sunshine knew which stocking was his he got into it and yanked the valuables. The rope pictured here is his new best friend. He’s learned the benefits of stockings at Christmas time while the kids have yet to grasp the true value.

Unstuffing Stockings

| December 27, 2004

Grandma McDonald had a stocking for each of the grandkids, some of them are pictured here.
