Abby loved playing with this toy at her cousin Julia’s place and has been saving her money to buy one. Who woulda thunk she’d be a little angry with Santa for bringing her one for Christmas.

Darin lent me this fire pit for our previous New Year’s Eve party. He got it back this afternoon, nearly a year later. Note to all: Do not lend me anything (least of all money) because I’m terrible about getting things back to their owners. At least I painted the pit before bringing it back. [...]

Once Sunshine knew which stocking was his he got into it and yanked the valuables. The rope pictured here is his new best friend. He’s learned the benefits of stockings at Christmas time while the kids have yet to grasp the true value.
