Need a new monitor – where do I send my hardware request?

| October 12, 2003

Dear Ross, I need a new monitor and have done some comparison shopping. I found the one which will work best and I need to know who should receive my hardware request. It’s a simple 15″ flat screen (10 of them). [via Slashdot]

Fastest score

| October 12, 2003

The Cowboys just made the fastest score I’ve seen in an NFL game. The Eagles tried to get tricky and start off the game with an onside kick – Randell Williams from Dallas picked it up and jammed to the endzone for a TD with 14:57 left on the clock.

Joe, Lucas and Me

| October 10, 2003

I don’t think Lucas trusts me at all – Look at his face! No, Joe and I did not call each other and get matching shirts lined up for the day. And yes, that’s my PIR cap, courtesy of Ross Rader. I need to buy a new and not_so_lame label for my bean. Oh yeah, [...]

Jobs moving offshore

| October 9, 2003

This is nothing new but at least it is being discussed. Unfortunately the discussion does not appear to tackle one of the roots of the problem which (in my view) is the demand on US companies to provide more than a fair day’s pay for work. Healthcare coverage, paid time off, etc., used to be [...]

A few parents are suing the Oak Park school district because they [the school district] installed a wireless netwrok for use by the children according to Yahoo! news.
