Wouldn’t it be cool to comment on any site you visit, sorta like notes to yourself. But also make those available for anyone else visiting that site? Build a little plug-in (in XUL?) so you can right-mouse-click on any given page and get the notes you have written as well as any other comments made by folks who have stopped by too. For example, if I’m on some shopping web site and I see a cool feature, I might note something about it and move on. Or I might want to see what others have said before I buy something from that store. We could use a bookmarklet to allow for the posting or a specialized app.
In my admin area I would be able to view/search all of my notes and again, drill down into the notes of others, provided those notes were marked as Public.
How could we make money on it? I don’t know. But I bet it would spread pretty fast. Is there anything like this out there on the Web today?
