Maybe some lawmakers need cancer
ABC News reports that the US Supreme Court has rejected a plea from the Feds to consider whether or not doctors can be punished for recommending or even talking about medicinal marijuana (MJ). Thank goodness. I know folks who have had cancer and who used MJ to ease their sufferings. In my view, unless we’re talking about enriched uranium to ease your pain, the patient should be allowed to use whatever tools are necessary to assist in improving their quality of life. I find it appalling that anyone would try and deny you that mechanism. I doubt you’ll find a person with immense pain advocating the de-legalization of pain fighting medications (AFAIK MJ is used to stem severe nausea which is as miserable as direct pain). Heck, morphine and cocaine are both illegal but can be used for medicinal purposes, why attack MJ? DISCLAIMER: I think MJ should be legal for all but in this case I’m trying to be objective – Dunno if I truly am being so. DISCLAIMER2: I haven’t used MJ in many many years, since my experimentation days.
